The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) Wednesday commenced interviews for the twenty new High Court judges following the short listing of 100 candidates.

The panel led by Chief Justice Martha Koome interviewed six candidates among them Akonga Amimo, Njoroge Agnes Wairimu, Alfred Gethi Kibiru, Alex Ithuku Kimanzi, Alexander Muasya Muteti and Alice Chepng’etich Bett Soi.

They were tested on how well they were versed with the constitution and its interpretation, the rule of Law and how the role of a judge has changed as opposed to a traditional judge back in the day.

The interviews are scheduled to conclude on the 30th of this month.
