Interviews for the position of Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) enter their second day on Tuesday, March 25, as four candidates face the selection panel.
Among those scheduled to appear before the panel is Erastus Edung Ethekon, who will be the first to be interviewed, followed by Francis Kakai Kissinger.
Former Nairobi County Assembly Clerk Jacob Ngwele will take the third slot, while Joy Masinde-Mdivo, the current chairperson of the Kenya Power board, will be the last candidate of the day.
The selection panel, led by Chairperson Dr. Nelson Makanda, is tasked with filling the vacancy left by former IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
The panel has assured the public of a fair and transparent selection process to ensure that individuals of the highest integrity spearhead the 2027 General Election.
The interviews, set to begin at 8:30AM at the College of Insurance in South C, Nairobi, will be streamed live on KBC Channel 1 and the KBC YouTube channel.
The final batch of candidates for the chairperson position will be interviewed on Wednesday, March 26, after which interviews for the six vacant commissioner positions will begin on Thursday, March 27, and continue until April 24.
