Celebrated Kenyan musician Idd Aziz has reimagined his Afro-fusion hit “Tabia”, infusing it with a vibrant Afro-house groove.
Known for his distinct sound that blends global influences with contemporary rhythms, Aziz continues to push creative boundaries with this latest release.
The revamped version, “Tabia 2,” elevates the original song’s essence with infectious beats and an upbeat energy, marking Aziz’s deepening exploration of Afro-house—a genre he has embraced in recent years.
Reflecting on the song’s release, Aziz shared that it was a personal gesture of appreciation to his fans, especially as the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close.
“This month of Ramadan has always been a blessing for me, as I believe it is for all my Muslim brothers and sisters. As we approach the end of this holy month, I wanted to give my fans a special gift—a new rendition of one of my old tracks as a token of appreciation. ‘Tabia’ goes way back to my Afro-fusion days, and now, I’ve given it a new Afro-house groove.”
At its core, “Tabia” delves into the complexities of modern relationships, questioning society’s tendency to prioritise physical appearance over deeper values when choosing a partner.
Through its lyrics, the song highlights how superficial connections can impact relationships, emphasising the importance of strong moral foundations in fostering meaningful bonds.
