The government has successfully established and activated 100% of the targeted Primary Health Care Networks (PCNs) in Laikipia County, demonstrating its commitment to reducing health disparities and ensuring equal access to healthcare.
Speaking at a National Government Affirmative Action Fund event in Laikipia, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni noted that the networks have significantly increased disease screening and identified previously undiagnosed conditions.
She also highlighted that the PCNs have strengthened the referral system and improved coordination among health workers.
Ms. Muthoni stressed the importance of fully utilizing these networks to enhance health outcomes for the entire community.
