The 2024 Ghana Trade Week is officially taking place in Kenya with a six-day enthralling program. Kenyans can sample the best Ghanaian culture and products as mall activations take center stage at Adlife Plaza in Kilimani, Sarit Centre, and Nyali Mall.
Ghana Export Promotion Authority Deputy CEO Samuel Dentu, who spearheads the cultural and aesthetic experience, says Kenyans from all walks of life have embraced the rich Ghanaian culture and superlative products.
“As GEPA’ we are delighted that we have been able to implement various projects such as The Youth in Export Programme, the supply capacity enhancement where we have provided free coconut seedlings and pineapple suckers to farmers across Ghana to increase production of these key agricultural products for processing to be exported to the international markets. We have also assisted Ghanaian exporters in several African and international market fairs. We are, therefore, thrilled to be here in Kenya promoting the Ghana Trade House. We aim to bring the Ghanaian market closer to East Africa in the spirit and letter of the AfCFTA.” said Dentu.
The Ghana Trade House in Kenya is a year old and was established at the Sameer Business Park in May 2023.
A series of events have been planned for the first anniversary celebrations. The activity line-up includes Mall Activations, some of which have already occurred at the Sarit Mall in Nairobi and Nyali Mall in Mombasa. Two activations are currently ongoing at the Adlife Mall in Kilimani. The promotion has been impressive so far, with Kenyans expressing satisfaction with the quality and diversity of the products.
Other events planned are a Ghanaian Food Bazaar at the Sarit Mall on Friday, October 11th, 2024, and a client dinner on Saturday, October 12th, 2024, ahead of the grand finale on Monday, October 14th.
The climax is the anniversary day durbar at the Sameer Business Park, where the trade house is situated. High-level officials from the Kenyan Government and the private sector will be at the event to deepen the bond of friendship with their Ghanaian counterparts.
The occasion will also be used to showcase the trade house to Kenyans once again.
