Pump prices remained on a steady decline for the second month in a row, in a move the government says is aimed at reducing the cost of living and restoring fuel prices to manageable levels.

The announcement by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) will see a liter of petrol retail at Ksh 193.84, Diesel at Ksh 180.38 and Kerosene at Ksh 170.

President William Ruto who was attending a church service in Nyeri says the government has begun the journey of reducing fuel prices and the cost of living.

At the same time, EPRA said it is working on ways to bring down the cost of electricity.

The announcement by EPRA came moments after President William Ruto who was attending the retirement service of the Rt. Reverend Joseph Kagunda at St. Peters ACK church in Nyeri revealed the government was in the process of bringing down the cost of living as evidenced by the steady decline in fuel prices.

Similar sentiments were echoed by United Democratic Party luminaries who said the government is keen on reducing the cost of living.
