Fredrick Domongole was peerless as won the men’s category during this year’s Iten 15km road race held Sunday in Iten,Elgeyo Marakwet County.
Domongole crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 45 minutes 16 seconds as Erick Kiplangat secured the second position with a time of 45 minutes 17 seconds while John Lomoni wound up third in 45 minutes 28 seconds.
Naomy Chebet won the women’s race in 51 minutes and 1 second. Sheila Cherotich came in second after posting 51 minutes and 24 seconds. Abigael Chepkoech completed the podium dash clocking 51 minutes and 49 seconds.

The winners in both men’s and women’s categories walked away with KES 250,000 while second and third place finishers received KES 150,000 and KES 100,000 respectively.
Fourth and fifth place finishers were awarded KES 50,000 and KES 40,000 respectively. Additionally, participants who placed sixth through tenth in both the men’s and women’s categories received KES 20,000.
