Ulinzi Starlets Stutter, Kisumu All Starlets skid continues, Vihiga remains top

Vihiga Queens' march to the top of the Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League standings continued after collecting maximum points in their weekend fixture against Kisumu All-Starlets.
Their 2-0 win against Kisumu All-Starlets was their 5th in as many games consolidating their top position with 16 points from 6 matches.
The three-time champions who represented the CECAFA region at the inaugural edition of the CAF Women’s champions league club championship in 2021 haven’t lost a game and have only drawn once.
Kisumu All-Starlets under the tutelage of head coach Juma Said has now lost three games on the bounce and stare at relegation, slipping to 10th with a paltry 3 points from 6 matches.
Vihiga leads the log, three points ahead of second-placed Nakuru Queens who moved to the second position after a 3-1 win against title hopefuls Ulinzi Starlets.
The defeat ended Ulinzi Starlets winning run of two matches and slumped them to fourth place, 6 points off the leader's pace.
The defeat to Ulinzi, gave way to Zetech Sparks to leapfrog them in the third place thanks to their 5-0 hammering of Kayole Starlets.
Kayole Starlets and Kangemi ladies occupy 12 and 11th positions respectively.
