Beaming World Cup matches enables KBC fulfill its mandate says Brand Manager Beatrice Mutua

The KBC channel 1 World Cup roadshow made its second stop in Eldoret town on Friday with the public getting a chance to view the last group matches of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar. The caravan heads to Kakamega today before proceeding to Bungoma Vihiga and Busia counties.

KBC Radio Brand manager Beatrice Mutua said the World Cup caravan seeks to give the fans a World Cup feel
“We are bringing the World Cup experience to your door step. KBC channel 1 is here to entertain each and every football fan. After Eldoret, On Saturday we will be in Kakamega then head to Bungoma and Vihiga. People in Busia,Kisumu and Homabay should also expect us” remarked Beatrice Mutua.
She reiterated KBC’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate as a public broadcaster.
“It’s important for kbc to broadcast the World Cup matches because not everyone can afford the pay tv and kbc is there to fill that gap by being available on FTA this ensures that majority of the public and football fans don’t miss out on the Qatar showpiece” She averred.
The KBC caravan in conjunction with gaming company Sportpesa heads to western counties traversing Kakamega,Bungoma, Busia and Vihiga Before heading to ,Siaya, Homabay and Kisumu.
Meanwhile football fans in Kakamega will have a chance to watch the round of 16 match pitting Argentina against Australia.
The public viewing of the game that kicks off at 10pm tonight will be held at Kakamega Bus Park.
