Nairobi Design Week 2025 is set to conclude on Sunday after a week of celebrating creativity, culture, and innovation.

The event, which began on March 8th and runs until March 16th, is marking its 10th anniversary under the theme “We Are the Ancestors.”

This year’s edition reflects on the legacy of creative arts shaped by the past and the art being built today as well as its impact on future generations.

Held primarily at The Waterfront Karen, the festival has showcased a diverse lineup of exhibitions, workshops, and discussions throughout the week.

The venue remains open daily from 12 PM to 8 PM, offering attendees a chance to explore Kenya’s vibrant design landscape.

As the final weekend approaches, several key events are lined up:

Nairobi Design Party – March 15

A major highlight of the closing weekend is the Nairobi Design Party at The Alchemist Bar in Westlands.

The event will bring together designers, artists, and creative enthusiasts for an evening of networking, music, and celebration.

Tickets are available for KSh 1,000.

Ongoing Exhibitions and Workshops

Throughout the weekend, The Waterfront Karen will continue to host exhibitions and interactive sessions, giving visitors an opportunity to engage with contemporary design trends and innovations. This also includes a chance to participate in a game dubbed “We Are the Ancestors”.

The festival has provided a platform for both established and emerging designers to showcase their work.

With only a few days left, those who haven’t yet attended still have a chance to experience Nairobi Design Week 2025 before it wraps up on Sunday.
