Eid ul Fitr: President Ruto sends message of goodwill to Muslims

President William Ruto has sent a message of goodwill to the Muslim community across the country as they celebrate Eid ul Fitr, which marks the culmination of the sacred month of Ramadan.

Eid ul Fitr is the feast of breaking the fast observed during the Holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement on his X handle, President Ruto wished Muslims God’s acceptance of their fast, prayers, acts of charity and sacrifices they made during the holy month of Ramadhan.

He said the discipline and commitment they demonstrated is an inspiration to all people of faith.

¨May the Almighty accept the fasting, prayers, acts of charity, and sacrifices that you have made over the past 30 days, and fortify you on your spiritual journey . The discipline and commitment you have demonstrated is an inspiration to all people of faith¨ Said Ruto.

The Head of State called on all Kenyans to stand in solidarity with the Muslims by demonstrating gratitude to God and benevolence to fellow citizens by sharing and performing other acts of compassion, especially to those in need.

President Ruto requested Muslims to continue offering prayers for the unity and prosperity of our nation, noting that  Inter-faith understanding is a powerful pillar of peace, love and unity in the country.
