Do or die for Kenya in crucial 2025 AFCON Qualifiers

Kenya Under 20 captain Amos Wanjala  earned his first call up to the Senior team Harambee stars as Coach Firat named his final squad to the remaining 2025 Africa cup of nations qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Namibia.

The team will be captained by Al Duhail topscorer Michael Olunga who featured against Cameroon where he scored the lone goal as they beat Harambee stars 4-1 and he will combine forces with John Avire who scored in Kenya 2-1 defeat of Namibia and Jonah Ayunga .

Duke Abuya another scorer is among the midfielders who also include Anthony Akumu,Leshan Mootian ,Marvin Nabwireand Adam Wilson.

The defenders include Daniel Anyembe,Joseh Okumu, Johnstone Omurwa and Abud Omar.

Patrick Matasi has been left out of the squad again but Byrne Odhiambo, Farouk Shikao and Ian Otieno will man the posts.

The team will leave on Monday for Johannesburg for their match against Zimbabwe which will be played on Friday next week at 7pm and live on KBC Channel one , with the second match against Namibia scheduled on Tuesday the 19th of November and live on Y254 from 4pm.

Both matches will be played at the New Peter Mokaba stadium in Polokwane South Africa.

Harambee stars who are currently third on the Group J standings with 4 points must win both encounters to qualify for the 2025 Africa cup of nations, Cameroon lead the group with 10 points followed by Zimabwe with 8 while Namibia are pointless at the tailend.
