DCI launch investigations into murder of young woman in Embakasi

Detectives in Nairobi are investigating the murder of a young woman at Jua kali area, Embakasi which occurred Monday night.

In a statement through their official social media pages, DCI said the murder incident was reported by three Jua Kali residents who had responded to a distress call after hearing a commotion near their houses at around midnight.

The incident, according to DCI was reported by three Jua Kali residents who found two unknown men forcing themselves on the young woman believed to be in her early 20s, but disappeared into the dark at the approach of the responders.

“Police who included CSI personnel from Nairobi area arrived at the scene to find the unresponsive body of the lady, with lowered underpants and strangulation marks on her neck,” read part of the statement.

“The scene has been documented and body moved to city mortuary awaiting identification and autopsy.”
