DCI Director Mohamed Amin has underscored the need for security officers to employ proactive systems in combating crime.
Speaking when he met security teams in Uasin Gishu County, Amin called for collaborative efforts in curbing crime.
“There are proactive systems set up by the security teams to combat crime in the region, pointing out that that was the surest way of winning the trust of the public who play a crucial role in the collaborative efforts to curb crime,” he stated.
Amin urged DCI, Kenya Police and Administration Police officers to embrace multi-agency teamwork to ensure safety and security in the county.
“It is our responsibility to ensure that our country, people living in the areas we serve and their properties are safeguarded,” Amin stated.
On his part, the Director Personnel Francis Ndiema urged officers to guard the reputation of the National Police Service.
Consequently, Director Operations Mr. Richard Mwaura condemned inter-service competition, emphasizing the need for collective responsibility for national safety.
Other senior officers accompanying the DCI Director included his Personal Assistant Lawrence Some, CP and the Rift Valley Regional Criminal Investigations Officer Charles Kanyuira.
