A forensic Laboratory equipment, for DNA test reports will be set up at the Kenya Women’s and Children’s Wellness Centre in an effort aimed at ensuring gender-based violence victims get access to justice.
The Kenya Women’s and Children’s Wellness Centre ( KWCWC) and Giants of Nairobi Twiga and the Business community have subsequently, started awareness and a fund-raising initiative for the medical equipment for the centre.
The KWCWC Executive Director Anity deepak and Giants of Nairobi Twiga Chairperson Chetna Desai revealed that the laboratory will key in helping gender based violence victims get access to justice.
Currently, the centre is hosting 17 gender-based violence victims.
Two claimed despite progress made in the fight against gender-based violence, cases are still rampant.
