The Kiambu High Court has set hearing dates for Allan Ochieng, also known as Hype Ballo, who is the prime suspect in the murder of Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officer Felix Kintosi.

The hearings are set to take place on December 3rd and 4th, 2024, as announced by Justice Dora Chepkwony during a court mention.

Ochieng, who was granted release on a Ksh 500,000 bond on May 8, is required to adhere to strict conditions while awaiting trial.

As part of his bond terms, he is required to report to the DCI Kikuyu Sub-county on the first day of every month until the primary witness testifies.

Additionally, Ochieng remains under the supervision of the Kibera area chief for the duration of his trial.

Ochieng, along with co-accused Eric Kariuki Gathua, Simon Wambugu Wanjiru, Khadija Abdi Wako, Sammy Cheruiyot Rotich, and Agnes Kerubo, are facing charges stemming from an incident on March 16, 2024.

The group is accused of assaulting Officer Kintosi, who tragically succumbed to his injuries five days later, on March 21.

However, the upcoming court hearings are expected to shed more light on the events leading to Officer Kintosi’s death and determine the culpability of those involved.
