Court frees Ekeza Sacco founder David Gakuyo on Ksh10M cash bail

Ekeza Sacco founder David Kariuki Ngare alias Gakuyo has been released on a bond of Ksh20 million with an alternative cash bail of Ksh10 million after pleading not guilty to fraud related charges.

The embattled Bishop is alleged to have swindled billions of shillings from members using his three Investment companies; Ekeza Sacco, Gakuyo Real Estate and Gakuyo Investors Club.

Gakuyo arrested last Wednesday at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
