The incident comes weeks after another security guard was killed outside a church in similar circumstances.

Police are investigating an incident where a security guard was found murdered on Monday morning outside a supermarket in Tala market, Machakos County.

Confirming the incidence, Machakos County DCI boss Benedict Kigen decried the increase in insecurity in the growing town promising no stone will be left unturned until the culprits are brought to book.

He revealed that the thugs disconnected the CCTV and the man might have been killed in a scuffle with suspected thugs who wanted to access the supermarket.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects dug through its wall and ransacked the cash deposit box before carting away an unknown amount of money.

The incident comes weeks after another security guard was brutally murdered and property worth 600000 stolen at Dorcus City church in the area.

The body of the watchman was taken to Kangundo hospital mortuary as police continue with investigations.

Tala MCA Jackson Ndaka condemned the incident calling upon the police to heighten security measures in the area.
