The win ,demonstrating Kenya’s much improved performance from their 0-2 defeat against Comoros ensured that they stay oncourse for a semi final spot.

They will however have to wait for the last group C matches to confirm their knock out round place.Only group winners and one best runner up will make it to the semi finals.

‘’It was too windy it was not easy to play football,we knew in the second we would hit them because our opponents were not good in defending high balls, we capitalized on that, the we had to have leaders in the second half ,everybody was quiet in the second half,we needed to talk ,positive talk and that’s how we got the result’’, Haedcoach Kennedy Odhiambo remarked.

Despite the unfavourable weather caused by the heavy winds blowing Kenya was able to clinch the win, that puts them in good stead for the semis spot

‘’We had a difficult first half the wind was blowing against us,we found it tough to pass our balls to the strikers and then the second half the wind was in our favour and that’s how we got the result’’, Austin Odhiambo remarked.
