Kenya’s urban culture is set for a major boost as Kenya Breweries Limited’s (KBL) spirits brand, Chrome, unveils Chrome City, an immersive cultural event celebrating creativity, self-expression, and street authenticity.
Scheduled for March 29, 2025, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Chrome City promises to be the biggest platform for Kenya’s young creatives to showcase their talent and push artistic boundaries.
The event comes as part of Chrome’s Street Filosofia campaign, a movement that honours Kenya’s street culture and the individuals who shape it.
This year, the campaign takes on a new visual identity, with Chrome debuting a bold new pack design that reflects modern street aesthetics. While the drink inside remains the same, the refreshed look embodies the energy, ambition, and creativity of Kenya’s vibrant urban youth the company says.
A creative playground for Kenya’s youth
More than just a party, Chrome City is designed to support and amplify Kenya’s creative economy by bringing together a diverse mix of artists, designers, and performers.
Attendees can expect
-New Chrome pack reveal – A first look at Chrome’s revamped street-inspired packaging.
-Live performances – Some of Kenya’s biggest musicians and DJs will take the stage.
-Experiential zones – Immersive spaces featuring graffiti art, spoken word poetry, fashion showcases, and mixologists crafting signature Chrome cocktails.
-Project rudisha – A sustainability initiative that repurposes Chrome bottles into unique, eco-friendly gifts.
Speaking about the campaign’s vision, Chrome Brand Manager Zipporah Ndung’u emphasised the brand’s dedication to urban creativity.
“Street Filosofia is all about elevating urban creativity and the hustle that fuels it. With this new pack and Chrome City, we’re not just unveiling a fresh look—we’re creating opportunities for Kenya’s creative youth to thrive.”
