Diana Chepkemoi emerged the winner of the 3400m girls U18 category, at the 24th International School Federation World School Cross Country Championship at the Ngong racecourse on Sunday.
Chepkemoi who finished 2nd at this year’s Sirikwa Classic Cross Country shook off stiff competition to cross the finish line in 10 minutes 47.8 seconds, followed by Mary Nyaboke in 10:51.4, while Dorcas Chepkwemoi completed podium places in 10:53.4.
A total of 360 athletes from 19 countries took part in the one day championship with Kenya fielding a contingent of 61 athletes.
