CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup quarter final draw out

The Confédération African  Football (CAF) has confirmed the fixture for the eagerly-anticipated 2024-25 CAF Champions league and Confederation Cup Quarter-finals.

The first leg matches in the CAF Champions League will be played on Tuesday, April 1, and the return legs on Tuesday, April 8, bar the clash between Orlando Pirates and MC Alger that will be staged a day later.

Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will host Tunisia’s Esperance Sportive de Tunis at Loftus Stadium in the first leg of their tie. The reverse fixture is at the Stade Olympique Hammadi Agrebi.

Defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt welcome Sudan’s Al Hilal SC to the Cairo International Stadium for their first leg  and then travel to the Stade Cheikha Ould Boidiya in Nouakchott, Mauritania for the return a week later.

Egyptian side Pyramids FC will host AS FAR from Morocco at the 30 June Stadium  in their first leg, with the return at the Stade d’honneur de Meknès.

Algerian outfit MC Alger welcome Orlando Pirates from South Africa to the Stade 5 Juillet 1962  with the return leg of that game to be played on Wednesday, April 9 at the Orlando Stadium.

The winner of the clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Esperance will face either Al Ahly or Al Hilal. Meanwhile, the victor between MC Alger and Orlando Pirates will meet the winner of the Pyramids versus AS FAR tie.

Meanwhile the first leg Quarter-final matches in the CAF Confederation Cup will be played on Wednesday, April 2, and the return legs on Wednesday, April 9.

South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC welcome defending champions Zamalek SC from Egypt to the Cape Town Stadium , before the return at the Cairo International Stadium.

Asec Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire host last year’s runners-up RS Berkane of Morocco at the Stade Felix Houphouet Boigny in Abidjan before travelling to the Stade Municipal de Berkane for the return leg.

There is an Algerian derby as CS Constantine familiar foes USM Alger in their first leg at the Stade Chahid Hamlaoui  with the return game at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962 (19h00 GMT)

Finally, Egypt’s Al-Masry welcome Simba SC from Tanzania to the Suez Stadium with the return game in Dar es Salaam.

The winner of the tie between RS Berkane and Asec Mimosas will face the victor of the Quarter-final between USM Alger and CS Constantine.

The second Semi-final will be between the winner of the tie between Simba SC and Al Masry, and the clash between Zamalek SC and Stellenbosch FC.
