Business Weekly: Kenya’s economy expanded by 5.3% in the first quarter of 2023

The local economy expanded by 5.3 percent in the first quarter of this year, a faster pace than 3.7 percent in the previous period ending December 2022.

The rate of economic growth according to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is also higher compared to 4.3% recorded in the quarter ended September 2022.
