The organizers of the ARC Guru Nanak Equator Rally have officially released the event regulations, confirming that the rally will be held in Stoni Athi, Machakos County.

This year’s edition will feature a three-stage course that competitors will complete three times over the weekend, promising an action-packed event for rally enthusiasts.

The rally weekend kicks off on Friday with free practice and qualifying sessions for ARC entrants and a shakedown for national competitors at the Kasarani Super Special Stage.

This stage, which last hosted the ARC in 2019 during a WRC Candidate event, mirrors the World Rally Championship (WRC) format and will set an exciting tone for the weekend.

Festivities begin with a ceremonial start at 11 a.m. at the Sikh Union Club.

On Saturday, drivers will depart from the club’s headquarters and head to Stoni Athi, where they will tackle three stages: the Spectator Stage, SGR, and the challenging Stoni Athi stage.

At nearly 60 km, the Stoni Athi stage is not only the longest in the event but also the most extensive in the entire series, adding an extra layer of difficulty for participants.

The rally will conclude on Sunday as drivers repeat all three stages before returning to the Sikh Union Club headquarters for the ceremonial finish.

This event also marks the highly anticipated return of the Kenya National Rally Championship following a six-month break since the Nanyuki Rally in June.

Currently, Samman Vohra leads the championship with a 13-point edge over Jasmeet Chana, and both will be looking to extend their standings in the competition.

Karan Patel, the reigning African Rally Champion, will also participate, aiming to continue his winning streak in the series.

The event will be led by Onkar Kalsi as the Clerk of Course, assisted by Qahir Rahim as Deputy Clerk of Course and Dali Kalsi as Assistant Clerk of Course.

Further details will be provided in the days leading up to the rally.
