Nollywood actress Annie Idibia is back on social media after a period of silence following reports of her separation from renowned Nigerian musician Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia.
The actress, who stars in the hit Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African, re-emerged on Instagram, deleting all previous posts and expressing heartfelt gratitude to her supporters.
In a poignant message signed with her maiden name, Annie Uwana Macaulay, she wrote:
“To my family, to my friends who came through for me, the support system I have now, all my amazing family here and all over the world—God bless you for the outpouring of love. I appreciate every single one of you and do not take any of it for granted. May the universe continue to be in your favor. Lots of love, Annie Uwana Macaulay.”
Annie’s return has been met with an outpouring of support and admiration from fans and fellow celebrities alike.
Nollywood stars such as Iyabo Ojo, Regina Daniels, Ego Nwosu, and Mercy Aigbe have taken to social media to praise her resilience and elegance. Many celebrated her stylish comeback and expressed their unwavering support, describing her as a symbol of strength and grace.
Annie Idibia’s social media hiatus began in January after 2Baba announced their separation on Instagram, following a series of marital challenges. Shortly afterward, 2Baba introduced Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, as his new fiancée. During the trying period, Annie reportedly sought rehabilitation to prioritise her well-being.
Annie’s return to the public sphere marks a new chapter for the reality star.
