CHAN 2025: CAF boss Motsepe confident Kenya will host successful tournament

The Confederation of Africa Football,CAF,President Patrice Motsepe is confident that Kenya will host the Africa Nations Championship owing to the progress the country is making in getting ready for the championship scheduled from the 1st to 28th of Februray 2025.

Dr.Motsepe who is on a tour of the co-hosts for the 2025 CHAN also met President William Ruto at State House Nairobi.

With just over 40 days to go before East  Africa plays host to africa’s second biggest football showpiece,the Africa Nations Championship, preparations for the championshiop have hit crescendo.

On his latest tour  to assess the country’s  preparations the CAF President Dr.Patrice Motsepe expressed optimism that Kenya will be ready to host the championship in February next year.

Motsepe met President William Ruto at State House where the Head of State thanked him for the organisations show of confidence in the country’s ability to host the games.

Motsepe, inspected venues earmarked to host the matches which include Kasarani and  the Nyayo National Stadium.

He also visited Ulinzi Sports Complex,Kirigiti Stadium in Kiambu County and Police Sacco stadium  which will act as training venues during the month long tournament.

Outgoing Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen Said the country was commited to holding a successful CHAN.

After the Kenyan stop the CAF President who also visited Tanzania and Zanzibar  headed to Uganda where he will complete his tour of the 2025 hosts .
