The Kenya Association of Muslim Medical Professionals (Kammp) has called for the strategic roll out of Social Health Authority (SHA).
Kammp President Dr. Ahmed Twahir says although the scheme has faced teething problems it has potential provide the much needed solutions in the healthcare sector.
He said Kammp will work closely with SHA to realize its objectives and benefit all Kenyans,
Dr Twahir spoke during the 6th Kammp conference in Mombasa which brought together Muslim doctors and medical professionals in lower levels.
Kammp national secretary Abdalla Bajaber urged the government to ensure hospitals receive their pending payments and incorporating feedback from medical professionals on SHA rollout.
He said members back the SHA initiative but stressed the importance of resolving rollout issues swiftly to strengthen its foundation
The association also reiterated its commitment to the welfare of the Muslim community and the professional development of its members by establishing a training institution to enhance the skills of Kammp members.
