Unknown gunmen shot and killed three people, while five others were injured and over 700 livestock stolen in separate suspected bandit attacks in Samburu East, Bojidare and Hola Bule areas in Isiolo County.
The Sunday dawn attack in Bojidare occurred after an unknown number of individuals armed with assault rifles invaded Manyattas and started shooting indiscriminately killing two people and injuring three before making away with about 250 cows and 300 goats.
RUN VCR In the second incident bandits are reported to have invaded a home in Hola Bule and stole 19 herds of cattle.
During the melee one person was killed and two others including a National Police Reservist were shot. In the third incident in Samburu East two bandits were shot dead across river Waso and 211 cattle recovered.
Deputy Inspector general of Administration Police Gideon Masengeli who toured the areas says they have since recovered all the 300 goats and 30 herds of cattle.
