Aspirants in the forthcoming Football Kenya Federation national elections have raised concern over the electoral processes calling for transparency and fairness in handling the upcoming football polls.

The aspirants who included several presidential contenders alleged attempts to alter the voter register a move  they warned will undermine the integrity of the polls.

‘’Over 30 counties have had their clubs’ voter register manipulated. 372 delegates names have been interfered with.Aggrieved, clubs, branch representatives and aspirants definitely want to petition the FKF Electoral Board’’, Harold Ndege stated.

The aspirants called for the quick resolution of the appeals tabled before the electoral board which they lamented took longer to be heard.

‘’Petitioners are either being turned away or kept waiting for hours to get a hearing. The communication channels availed to file complaints have malfunctioned. The Electoral Board’s headquarters at Kandanda house highlights the lack of independence’’ Harold stated.

The aspirants asked for an independent electoral body to conduct the elections asking for oversight from international stakeholders.

‘’In light of these alarming developments, we call upon the FKF Electoral Board, the Ministry of Sports, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) to take immediate action to safeguard the best interest of football in the country. We urge all football clubs and representatives to be vigilant and not to accept a flawed process’’, Harold remarked
