A new Kenyan movie is set to debut in theatres on Friday, September 20, just in time for the weekend.
The movie, Boda Love, directed by Janet Wells follows a “humble boda boda driver as he rescues a British woman after she falls for an internet romance scam in Kenya.”
According to the movie’s synopsis the two end up growing closer.
“After a whirlwind online romance, a lonely British woman (Charlotte) comes to Kenya to track down her fiancé, only to find everything is a lie.
“Things take a turn for the worse when all her belongings are stolen. However, she is helped by a humble boda boda driver (Jabari), who gives her a place to stay in his crowded home in Kaloleni.
“As the two work together to find her fiancé and Charlotte bonds with his busy family, Jabari and Charlotte start to fall in love.”
The film also boasts original music from Billy Black and Njoki Karu.
The film will debut at the Anga Cinemas at Diamond Plaza at 6PM in Friday with a red carpet event.
