The national rugby sevens team left the country on Monday night to France where they will hold a two week training before heading to Paris ahead of the Olympic Games.
The Paris Olympic Games is scheduled July 26th-August 11th.
The 13 member Shujaa is the first batch of Team Kenya to depart for France where they will camp for two weeks in the southern city of Miramas before travelling to Paris for the Olympic Games.
At the Olympics Shujaa will play Australia,Samoa and Argentina in group B.
The national women’s volleyball team,Malkia Strikers, who arrived in the country on Monday from Philippines where they participated in the Challenger Cup will be in the second batch departing on Wednesday and will be followed by sprinters,Judo and Field event athletes later this week.
Kenya will be represented by a total of 83 athletes who will participate in five disciplines namely:Volleyball,rugby,swimming,fencing and Judo.
