Detectives arrest man in Mombasa over shooting

Detectives in Mombasa have arrested a man who opened fire at Ganjoni area of Mombasa injuring people. 

According to a statement by the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the civilian firearm holder has since been arrested following Tuesday´s shooting and placed in custody.

The shooting incident by the man who is alleged to be the owner of QAFFEE POINT Hotel took place at 1PM leaving two persons injured.

DCI says the reported two persons who suffered injuries are receiving medical aid.

While lauding the members of public who acted fast to assist the injured to hospital, DCI at the same time appealed to Mombasa residents to remain calm on the case as necessary legal action is being taken.
