KCB beat Prisons to level series ahead of Sunday’s decider

Its all square as defending champions KCB Women’s volleyball team recovered to beat a resilient Kenya Prisons by three straight sets in their return fixture of the Kenya Volleyball Federation League playoffs finals to force game three of the series.

The two perennial rivals will face off Sunday in the decider at Kasarani gymnasium.

Reigning Kenyan champions KCB utilized several unforced errors by Prisons Kenya to bag the first set 28-26.

A relentless KCB side led by Juliana Namutira , setter Esther Mutinda , Mariam Musa and Belindah Barasa went on to win the second set 26-24 to force a nervy third set which they bagged 25-21.

Africa bronze medalists Kenya Pipeline bagged bronze with a commanding three straight sets victory over DCI while KPA registered a hard fought three sets to two win over KDF to finish third overall in the men’s category.
