The Kenya under 17 women soccer team the Junior Starlets is scheduled to leave the country next week on the 5th of June for their first leg 4th round FIFA World cup qualifier match against Burundi in Ethiopia.
The Junior Starlets advanced to the 4th and final round of the FIFA Women U17 World cup qualifiers when they beat Ethiopia 3-0 in the third round return match at the Ulinzi complex grounds.
They have now picked up their training in preparation for the two legged match where they are determined to become the first Kenyan soccer team to qualify for the FIFA World cup finals.
The first leg will be hosted in Ethiopia on the 9th of June next month with the return scheduled on the 16th of June here in Kenya.
The aggregate winner of the two legged tie will secure a ticket to the 2024 FIFA Women under 17 World cup which will be held in October in the Dominican Republic
