Popular DJ Joe Mfalme has released a statement since his arrest in connection with the death of a senior police officer.
In his first statement, released by his PR team, since the incident, the media personality whose real name is Joeseph Mwenda said he was in “close collaboration with investigative agencies since the incident.”
“DJ Joe Mfalme and his team are fully committed to participating in the investigative procedure and will continue to extend their cooperation as may be required.
“We place our trust in God Almighty in particular and the authorities in general to conduct a comprehensive and transparent investigation aimed at uncovering the truth.”
The Deejay went on to offer his sincerest condolences to the family of the bereaved.
“We convey our sincerest condolences to the bereaved family and friends affected by this distressing event,” the statement read.
Adding: “Given the ongoing investigations and the sensitive nature of the matter, we shall refrain from making any further statements at this time.”
DJ Joe Mfalme alongside his bouncer, photographer and driver were taken into custody for allegedly assaulting Kabete Police Station Deputy DCIO Felix Kelian on March 16, 2024.
Inspector Kelian succumbed to his injuries on Friday while receiving treatment at the Nairobi West Hospital.
