The National Museums of Kenya will commence a fresh search for the body of Mau Mau freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi.
Kimathi was executed by the colonial powers in 1957.
This is after the National Museums of Kenya is expected to unravel the remains of the late independence hero’s remains through a Scientific Workshop aimed at identifying the grave site using Archeological Geophysical Techniques.
The “Unmarked Grave Search of Dedan Kimathi Utilizing Archaeological Geophysical Techniques” workshop, set to take place at the prestigious Louise Leakey Auditorium on February 29th, 2024, is a groundbreaking event aimed at leveraging advanced geophysical methods to uncover the final resting place of one of Kenya’s most revered freedom fighters, Field Marshal Dedan Kimathi.
