Two times world rally champion Kalle Rovanpera will be all out to reclaim the overall title in the WRC Safari rally Kenya which is scheduled to take place next month over the Easter holiday .
He is among the entries received so far from the Toyota Gazoo Racing team.
Rovanpera had hoped to defend his title in the 2023 round of the World rally championship but was dethroned by his teammate, 8 times World champion Sebastien Ogier navigated by Landais Vincent in a Toyota GR Yaris.
He chose to compete partly in the 2024 season and started with the rally of Sweden co-driven by Jonne Haittunen but unfortunately crashed out.
He rejoined the next day where he finished 39th in a rally won by Esapekka Lappi and Janne Ferm of Hyundai.
Elfyn Evans who finished second in Rally of Sweden has also been entered for the WRC Safari rally Kenya with Takamoto Katsusa as Toyota Gazoo racing World rally team look forward to a victorious outing in Keny
