The Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB) says it has migrated at least seven services online as it targets to reach more students through its Computer Based Examinations.

Speaking during the award ceremony of 267 students, KASNEB Chief Executive Officer Prof. Nicholas Letting said the institution has also completed the integration with the Government pay bill number 222222 which is now available as a payment option on the Kasneb student portal.

“In Line with government directive, Kasneb services were uploaded on the e-Citizen portal on 18 September 2023. These include; registration, exemption, examination booking, renewals, students result and timetables and deferment requests,” said Prof. Letting.

The institution introduced CBE in 2021 to offer students examinations in various fields.

However, Kasneb plans to continue to offering hybrid examinations (paper based and CBE) in order to cater and meet the needs of the diverse background of students.

“Our ultimate goal at KASNEB is to produce empowered and globally recognized business professionals. We aspire to mold individuals who not only excel in their fields but also contribute meaningfully to the global discourse on business and finance. Your success as students is a testament to the realization of this vision,” added Dr Nancy Muriuki, Kasneb Chairperson.

Dr Muriuki added that in a bid to produce competent and skilled professionals ready for the job market, Kasneb consistently review its syllabuses to ensure their relevance in a rapidly evolving professional landscape.

“This ensures that our students are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills, making them not only proficient but also adaptable to the dynamic challenges of their respective industries,” she noted.
