Counties First Ladies have pledged to support initiatives run by the Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.

Speaking when they met Pastor Rigathi at the Deputy Presidents official residence the first ladies said many of their programs in counties have similarities in what Pastor Dorcas has been doing.

Among the programs they promised to support in their respective counties is the boychild program, widows and orphans and persons living with disabilities among other vulnerable populations.

Through their forum County First Ladies Association (CFLA) they said they will unite and partner with the programs to save the nation.

Pastor Dorcas said she could not reach all the vulnerable in the country, but with the partnership and collaboration of the first ladies, many others would be impacted positively.

“I cannot do the work by myself, but when we work together, and engage your networks, government ministries and departments, we shall reach many,” said Pastor Dorcas.

Among those present included the Chair of the County First Ladies Association (CFLA) Allamitu Jattani (Marsabit), Emily Nyaribo (Nyamira), Bishop Saline Barchok (Bomet), Dr. Emily Chesire (Baringo), Madina Ali Issack (Mandera), Habiba Galgalo (Isiolo), Lilian Ekamais (Turkana), and Anne Wamatangi (Kiambu).

Mary Kangata (Murang’a), Anita Mutula (Makueni), Beverlyne Lelelit (Samburu), Salina Samoei Bii (Uasin Gishu), and Dr Margaret Makelo (Bungoma), Scovia Kachapin (West Pokot), Fionnah Kiprotich (Elgeyo Marakwet), Grace Wakahora (Laikipia), Agnes Ochillo (Migori), and Janet Sayo (CFLA Secretariat).

This was the second meeting with County First Ladies in Karen, as they charted the way forward in delivering the vision of ‘A Dignified Future for Vulnerable Populations’ in the counties of Kenya.

Pastor Dorcas also urged the County First Ladies to work with the community health promoters, who have a wide reach at the grassroots, to actualize the vision of the vulnerable populations.
