Harambee stars head coach, Engin Firat has expressed confidence in his squad saying the team is in good shape ahead of the 2026 world cup qualifiers set to kick off next month.

Kenya battled to a 2-2 draw with Russia in an international friendly match played last night in Turkey.

He said that Harambee Stars had a chance to win the game but said lack of concentration in closing stages of the match led them to conceding with minutes to go.

The Kenyan coach is confident that his charges are ready for FIFA World Cup qualifiers slated for next month.

Stars are in group F alongside Gabon, Seychelles, Burundi Ivory Coast and Gambia.

Stars will play their opening match away in Gabon on 13th November.
