Beloved series about Marvel’s god of mischief, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston is set to premiere its second season on Thursday.

Speaking in a recent interview about what to expect from the new season, Executive Producer Kevin Wright said that the lawsuit brought against Jonathan Majors, who plays the role of He Who Remains, a variant of the multiverse’s villainous Kang the Conqueror, would not affect the new season.

“No. This is maybe — not maybe — this is the first Marvel series to never have any additional photography,” Wright explained. “The story that is on screen is the story we set out to make. We went out there with a very specific idea of what we wanted this to be, and we found a way to tell it in that production period. It’s very much what’s on screen on Disney+.”

Wright also confirmed there had been no discussions about making changes and doing additional photography on the new season, adding that “it felt hasty to do anything without knowing how all of this plays out.”

Majors reprised his role, after the end of Loki season one, as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel movie Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania

Majors was arrested in New York City in March for an alleged domestic dispute involving him and another woman. He was then charged with multiple misdemeanour counts of assault and harassment.

In the aftermath, Majors — who has denied all allegations — was dropped from various projects. The public relations company representing the Lovecraft Country actor also terminated their relationship with him.

His assault trial was recently delayed for a third time.
